The North Davidson senior is only in her second season, and now she wants to continue her career at the next level.
There were a lot of great performances in Weekend 1, but one of the times from the Providence Invitational really jumped out at me: Hannah Mercer opened her season with an 18:43, which is over a minute faster than the North Davidson senior's PR from the 2014 season. 2014 was her first running season, though, and once the running bug bit her, she seemed to really invest herself in summer training this year (and it helps that she has a running background in her family). In this interview Hannah also talks about some of her non-running extracurricular activities, which I always find interesting - runners are so often talented in other areas, too!
