Weekend 2 always competes with end-of-summer beach huzzahs, but that didn't keep NC's competitors off the course. We saw many remarkable performances, particularly on the boys side, but our fans had the ultimate pick of the cream of the crop. Female Performance of the Week
Of the state's top three female performances of the week, voters seemed to find favor with a strong first 5k of the season on the Western Carolina course. Staff member Jason's picks fell in line with the public, but Coach George and Jentzen had a weak spot for a performance that was a solo act from the start.

Male Performance of the Week
There were numerous performances to be proud of this weekend on the boys side. The votes are in, and it was unanimous among the public and the NC Runners staff; the ultimate performance was a young gentleman's breakthrough that consisted of an ongoing battle throughout the rumble through the Jungle.
