Teams to Watch
With Research Triangle returning everyone from its top 5, they are a threat to dominate on the regional level as well as the state level. While Bishop McGuinness graduated its entire scoring squad from the 2014 State Championships, Research Triangle is poised to try to upgrade its 2014 runner-up finish to a 2015 Championship. Raleigh Charter also returns 6 out of 7 of its performers from the 2014 State Championships, so prepare to see them improve their place in the state's top ten as well as secure their second place spot in the Mideast region.
Athletes to Watch
The duo of Madison Daniel and Michal Swepson of Research Triangle are sitting atop the Mideast region. Continued progress could potentially make both Daniel and Swepson contenders for and individual state title. Timmy O'Neill of Raleigh Charter has had recent success at the regional level in the 3200m, so keep an eye out for the junior's potential to take over a top 5 spot in the Mideast. After a strong 2015 track season, Princeton junior Austin Sullivan could also see much improvement this fall.
