Who Has the Best Sprints & Hurdles in the Country Right Now? Boys' Edition

The banked tracks help, but that isn't the only reason for New York's dominance in the 300 - but at both 55-meter races, Virginia holds the top spot.

This article uses Cross Country-style scoring to determine which states and which schools have the best sprinters nationwide. Using the current indoor rankings, we assign points to each sprinter according to where they are ranked in the nation; 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, etc. Athletes with the same time are given the same points. Adding up the top 5 sprinters for each state (or each school), the lowest total wins! For the state rankings, we looked at the top states that had enough athletes listed in our national rankings. NOTE: some states run 500 and some run 600, so I left those off of the rankings. With the variations in the events run in each state, any choice is going to omit someone deserving, so take it with a grain of salt and enjoy!
