The fast surfaces and sections of shaded, wooded trails at WakeMed and McAlpine are center stage in the US this weekend.
There are three huge meets on three of the state's most historic courses this weekend, with a total of roughly 300 schools from at least 8 states competing on North Carolina soil. Considering how WakeMed and McAlpine, in particular, tend to turn out very fast times in even decent conditions, it's not hyberbole to state that the national rankings will be heavily affected by what happens in The Old North State on Saturday! In addition to the lore of these three courses and the highly-competitive events, teams are visiting us this weekend to prepare for Foot Locker South and Nike Cross Nationals Southeast. With all that action going on, NCRunners will try to keep a constant stream of stats, photos, and videos in front of you, so you can share in the excitement from all the meets (even if you're enjoying it from home this weekend).
