Hagan Stone Park hosts the biggest invitational of the weekend, one with a long history and strong competition.
There's no doubt about it - the Greensboro Invitational rules weekend 7. Not only is this the 31st edition of the meet, making it one of the most historic and important events of the fall season, but it also sports 82 high school and college teams competing in one of the fastest-paced schedules you'll ever see. That's roughly four times the number of schools at any other meet in the state this weekend! Throw in a scenic course with a nice blend of speed and challenge, plus some unique trophies, and you have an experience that every school should have at some point. Of course, there will be plenty of action elsewhere in the state, too, from the gorgous and fast layout at Lake Kristi in the East, to the rugged terrain of the Watauga campus course in the West. This is the last weekend of September, and the third-to-last weekend of the invitational season, so things are going to get intense pretty soon. There are several teams out there looking to use this weekend's meets as a springboard to the postseason, and we can't wait to see the results!
