Over the last 6 years, Carrboro has had one of the top girls' programs in the state, routinely ranking among the best 4A schools while working from a 2A base population. The team has also had an underrated and very competitive boys' squad, although the 4 consecutive 2A championships the girls earned tends to attract more attention. More than anything else, though, the athletes in the Jaguar running program cite the family atmosphere of the team when asked to pinpoint what it is that makes Carrboro Cross Country special. In this video, Coach Mimi O'Grady leads the team through a workout as well as form drills and core strength, and we get a chance to see some of the team bonding the athletes often reference.
