The Parkland girls justified their #1 state ranking in all three sprinting relays in their performances this weekend. No other teams were able to compete with the ladies in pink and silver in the 4x100, 4x200, or 4x400. This Parkland sprinting depth was demonstrated in the individual sprints as well, with Mustangs taking at least one of the top three position in every single event under 400 meters.
Sara Platek (Ragsdale) handily won her two distance events, shaving one second off of her 1600m and 800m times from last weekend at Phoenix Invite. This puts her at 4:59 and 2:19, respectively, capturing two NC #2's in one day! (Additional noteworthy information: Sara is a freshman!)
