It sure would be good to see a performance from Philip Hall, who sat out the winter season with an injury.

 

Track & field truly gets going in Eastern North Carolina tomorrow when the first gun fires for the Tiger Relays, hosted by South View at Reid Ross Classical School.  This large invitational kicks off the season for teams from Fayetteville to Raleigh and many other areas.  Although the area has stereotypically been known for its sprint strength, this is a balanced meet that has talent in all events, and it should be very competitive.

 

Relays

Despite some overseeding (including one school that has their B-teams at 43.5 and 1:30.0), this should be very competitive.  Terry Sanford has already shown that they have some serious sprint talent, and E. E. Smith can put together a strong relay.  Add in Overhills, Pine Forest, Jack Britt (in the 4x100), and Nash Central (in the 4x200), and you have some very competitive races.  The 4x400 looks particularly exce...
