Meet Information

High Point Centrals newly resurfaced track is an 8-lane, all-weather, 400-meter track that also includes complete facilities for field events, including the long jump, high jump and shot put.

ELIGIBILITY: Any currently enrolled Guilford county middle school boy or girl. No club teams and no Individual athletes, all athletes must compete with a school team.

ENTRY FEE: $100.00 per team. Boys and Girls considered one team.

ENTRY FEE DUE DATE: Entry fees are due no later than Noon on Friday-April 15, 2011.

* There will be a $25.00 late fee per team (boys and girls considered one team) if payment is received after this date and/or if payment is received at the gate (For team entries).

This will serve as your scratch/declaration period also! *** NO additions the day of the meet!

*Entry fees are non-refundable; meet will be held regardless of weather.

*Entry limit of three (3) per event; (2) relays per school.

*Minimum measurements in field events enforced after first legal attempt (Long Jump, High Jump and Shot Put,).

CHECK-IN: All athletes in all events must check-in with the clerk no later than 30 min. prior to the start of the event. Heat sheets will be provided in team packets the day of the meet.

WARM UP AREA: No warming up will be allowed on the infield. Athletes may use the surrounding fields for warm up.

Spectator Charges- The entry fee for spectators will be $5, no exceptions

AWARDS: Team Plaques for Top three finishing teams. Top three finishers in each event and relays will receive medals.

WEIGH-INS: Athletes are expected to provide their own throwing implements. Implements will be inspected and weighed for middle school specifications. Weigh-in for all implements will take place at the shed near the track one hour before meet start and close 15 minutes before start of competition. All impounded implements will be released following the completion of all throwing events.

SCHEDULE: See enclosed time schedule. Please note that the schedule is on a rolling schedule format and may also be modified due to weather.

PARKING: Vehicle parking will be at the parking lots for Ferndale middle school and High Point Central High School. Team buses will be directed to the team parking lot after they drop off their teams.

MEDICAL: High Point Centrals trainer and EMT will be available on site. Water and ice will be available throughout the meet.
