Southeastern NC XC Series Middle School Cross Country Fall 2026 Race #2
The Haybale Scramble will consist of 2 Haybale Steeples that athletes will have to jump over on the course. Athletes can step up onto the hay bales or hurdle them. This is a fun European Style Cross Country Race.
The Southeastern NC XC Series is a Four- race middle school cross country series designed to provide consistent, competitive racing opportunities for developing athletes throughout the fall season.
This series is open to any team or club that would like to compete. This series is unaffiliated with any school, county or league. It is simple open to teams or individuals that want to have a chance to compete in the sport of cross country.
Location: Long Leaf Park
Cost: $100 per team and
$10 per individual
Race Schedule:
September 12th - Wilmington Beach Blast
September 17 - Kickoff to Fall 2 mile
October 1 - Hay Bale Scramble 2 mile
October 13 - Championship Meet
Race Distance
All races: 2 miles
Race Day Schedule
(Individual Unattached Athletes are Welcome)
Note there is a 25:00 Cutoff Time per event. That is a 12:30 per mile pace. If your athlete is on the course past this time, they will not receive a time.
4:25pm - JV Boys
4:50pm - Varsity Girls (10 max per team)
5:25pm - Varsity Boys (10 max per team)
