Meet Information

The In-The-Pines 1600m Invite is a fund raiser for Montreat College Assistant Track and Cross Country Coach Britten Olinger. Coach Olinger was paralyzed in a car accident in 2017. All proceeds will be donated to help Coach Olinger purchase a new wheelchair.

The Montreat College track is in Black Mountain, NC. The track is not at the campus of Montreat College.

Public school runners will be unattached for this year's event. Coaches of private school athletes that are part of the NCISAA may register for their respective schools. Registration Opens March 8th and will close March 19th.

The top seeded boys heat will start at 1 pm. The top seeded girls heat will start at 1:15 pm. Final time schedule will be posted Saturday.



Only 1/4" pyramid spikes allowed. 
Covid-19 Procedures
1 coach or parent per athlete please.

Parents/Spectators are responsible for making sure they and their athlete do not have:

*Covid-19 symptoms or have come in contact with a person who has Covid-19 within the last 14 days.
*Symptoms include: fever/chills, cough, difficulty breathing, fatigue, headaches,

body aches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea. 
*Individuals feeling ill should stay home.
*Spectators who are at high risk are encouraged to stay home.
*Masks are required at all times for spectators. 
*Masks are required for athletes at all times except while competing. Athletes should

arrive at the start line in a mask. They may remove the mask once the race begins. At

the conclusion of the race masks should be put back on and then exit the track. Athletes will not be required to wear masks while warming up or cooling down when not inside the track fence.
*Social distancing is expected.
*Athletes are encouraged to use our large training field adjacent to the stadium to set up
camp and warmup. Please bring your own water bottles and snacks.
*Spectators and athletes not adhering to the policies will be asked to leave.
