Meet Information
Pending any and all COVID-19 related disasters, the White Squirrel Classic will be a Friday afternoon invitational this year. This year's course will be at the Transylvania County Recreation Department and the campus of Pisgah Forest Elementary. The course will be 2 1/2 loops on mixed surface (predominantly grass with several asphalt stretches). It is possibly the flattest course in Western North Carolina, and we hope the times and atmosphere will reflect that. Lots of parking, bathrooms, and cold water will be available. Come race for one of the coveted stuffed white squirrels that define our region.
We will charge $40 TOTAL PER TEAM (includes boys and girls) for this event to cover the cost of having the meet professionally timed by Slipstream Timing Inc. If you have less than 8 entries, it'll be $5 per person.
Because other sports also use this area, we will be utilizing the following timeframe for the meet:
Boys 5000m: Times TBD
Girls 5000m: Times TBD
Buses should plan on arriving at 3:15 to avoid school traffic.
There are no entry limits.
