Wake County Championship

Sanction has been obtained from the North Carolina High School Athletic Association. All National Federation rules will be followed for the conduct of this meet.

ENTRY PROCEDURE:

Entries must be done online through NC Milesplit. Each team will be allowed 2 athletes per event and one team per relay. The Unified teams can have an unlimited number of athletes per event. The entry deadline will be 11:59 PM on March 25th, 2020. There will be no written entries or add-ons.

Please mail or bring a check for $50 made out to Titan Booster Club. If you choose to mail the check, please have c/o Richard Young with "Wake County Championship" in the memo.

SEEDING:

Please be accurate when submitting times and distances for an event. Athletes will be seeded accordingly. All field events will have 4 attempts with no finals.

BUS PARKING & TENTS:

Busses need to be parked on the side lot in front of the tennis courts. Tents will be permitted on the visitor side bleachers and near the baseball field. A detailed map will be provided in a follow-up email. The track will be open at 7:30 AM.

PACKET PICKUP:

Pickup will begin at 7:30 AM and will be at the box gate. Competing athletes and coaches will be issued wristbands. Wristbands should be on and visible at all times. Individuals without wristbands will not be permitted on the track*. 

Coaches and competing athletes arriving after 9:00 will need to arrange for someone from their team to bring

them a wristband in order to enter.

*Electronic devices are not permitted on the field.

COACHES & OFFICIALS MEETING:

Officials will meet at 8:00 AM.

Declarations will occur during the coaches meeting at 8:15 AM. All entries will be confirmed or scratched from the meet at this time.

WEIGH-IN & IMPLEMENT INSPECTION:

Pole vaulters and throwers should report to the clerking shed from 8:30-9:15.

ATHLETE CHECK-IN:

There will be open check-in for all running events. Athletes must be checked in prior to the 2nd call at the clerking tent (shed).  Field event participants will need to report to the official located where that event takes place.

Please remind athletes participating in field events that they MUST check-in and check out with their event officials if they are competing in simultaneous events.

If an athlete is not checked-in by the final call, he or she will be scratched from the event.

AWARDS & AWARD CEREMONY:

Top three individual events, unified and relay winners will receive a medal. The top two teams will receive plaques.

SPECTATORS:

There is an $8 event fee and spectators may be admitted beginning at 8:30 AM.

Please do not park alongside the access roads.

CONCESSIONS:

Concessions will be available for purchase for spectators and athletes courtesy of the Titans Booster Club.
