GENERAL MEET INFORMATION

We are thrilled to announce that this year Williams High School will host a last chance meet to allow runners and relay teams close to qualifying for regionals one more chance. Our meet will be Friday, May 4th, starting at 4:45 PM.



Parking: Will be open, but please try to park buses along Tarleton Ave.

Admission:Spectator admission will cost $3 and will be collected at both gates.

Uniform Rule: All competitors must adhere to NFHS uniform rules.

On-site Food: Concessions will be sold during the meet.

Timing: Timing will be being completed using SprintTimer and Sprint 8 systems.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Eligibility: This Invitational will be open to all runners. The purpose of the meet is to provide a final opportunity for athletes on the cusp of qualifying for regionals to try one last time by running, throwing, or jumping a qualifying performance!



Entry Deadline: Entries must be submitted via MileSplit, opening Monday, April 23rd at 9:00 am and closing Thursday, May 3rd at 9:00 pm. At this time, the meet will be seeded. Late entries will be allowed and handled by the meet director, Brian Smith. You must email Brian at brian_smith@abss.k12.nc.us if you want to submit a late entry. Late entries will close Friday, May 4th, at 11:30 am.



Entry fees: Entry fees will be $5 per athlete per individual event, and $10 per relay. Late entries will be $10 per athlete per individual event, and $20 per relay. Fees will ONLY be collected at packet pickup which will be located at the visitors side entrance gate. Once an athlete has been paid for they will receive a wristband. An athlete will not be allowed to complete unless they have a wristband. Payment methods accepted will be either cash or check. Please make checks out to Williams H.S. Track Boosters.

EVENT INFORMATION

Check-in: Heat sheets will be emailed to all coaches and posted at the starting areas of each event. Coaches will be provided with a program when registration is complete.



Measurements: In order to expedite the meet, we will implement the following minimum measurements for field events:


Horizontal Jumps:

Long Jump- Girls- 14 Boys- 18

Triple Jump- Girls- 30 Boys- 35

Shot Put- Girls- 25 Boys- 35

Discus- Girls- 70 Boys- 100

Vertical Jumps:

Pole Vault- Girls- 6-6 Boys- 9-0

High Jump- Girls- 4-6 Boys- 5-6.
