Entry fee is $75 per school or $10 per individual/$25 per relay (max-$75 per team)

Dear Coaches, Athletes, and Spectators,
Were excited for this years Girl's Only Invitational and we truly want to thank those of you that have made this Girls Only a regular meet on your schedule. Submit entries on nc.milesplit.com. Entries open on April 6, 2017 at 9:00 am. Entries close on April 25, 2017 at 11:59 pm. Late Entries will not be accepted. Scratches only after deadline.
Below is a list of things that will make the day run as smoothly as possible. Thanks again for your help and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns throughout the meet. We will have FAT timing at this meet. Tom Deming and John Potts will be the official starters.

Team Packets: Team packets can be picked up at the entrance before you enter the stadium. Wristbands for coaches will be inside your packet. Coaches will not be permitted to enter the stadium until they have their wristbands on. Athletes will need to show they are wearing their uniform to be admitted to the track areas. We will allow each school 2 RELAYS (A&B) per event. MAXIMUM 4 EVENTS PER ATHLETE.

Team TENT Area: The team tent area will be on the visitor side of the bleachers. NO TENTS on the HOME side of the bleachers. Please reserve this area for the spectators.

Running Event Check-In: Hip numbers will only be needed for the events that do not stay in their lanes. Athletes who need hip numbers will go to the in the middle of the infield to receive the hip numbers on 1st call. Athletes will receive 1 hip number to be worn on the left seam of their shorts/spandex.
All athletes must check in prior to the running of an event. Athletes will report to the clerk near the start line of their event at 2nd call.
Athletes should report in full uniform, ready to race, when reporting to the clerk. It is the responsibility of the athlete to report on time and ready to race. Relays MUST turn in an accurate relay card for verification of 4 max events.
They need to leave the finish line & infield area near the finish immediately after completing their running event.
Please make sure they know to keep away from the inside edge of the straightaway so the timing system can see the runners finishing their races.
Also there is only one gate from the stands to enter the track from the stands, please make sure the athletes watch out for runners and goes to left upon entering and stay clear of the finish line timing system.

Exchange Zones: 4x100m Relay- Yellow to Yellow, 4x200m- Red to Red, Red to Red, Yellow to Yellow. 4x400m Relay- 3 turn stagger- #1 runner will run in their lane. #2 Runner will run the 1st turn in their lane and then break on the backstretch. We will gather all relay athletes on the infield and then send them out to their zones. Make sure that your relay participants know their heat and lane assignment.

Field Events: WE WILL HAVE POLE VAULT AT THIS MEET. Discus and shot will be on the lower practice field. Athletes and coaches should use the gate behind the 100m start line. Field event athletes should report to their event area at the first call to check-in. If a field event athlete is participating in a running event, they must check out with the event judge and be released before leaving for their running event. The athlete will have 10 min. to report back to their field event after being dismissed. After 10 minutes, if the athlete has failed to report back, their name will be called, the allotted time for their attempt will be given, and they will receive a scratch for that attempt. NO FINALS 4 ATTEMPTS EACH!

Starting Heights: Girls Pole Vault- 6 00, Girls High Jump- 4 04,

Uniforms: All athletes must be in a school issued uniform when competing. T-shirts and shorts worn in the field events must be specific to Track & Field or just have the schools name printed on them. Football, basketball, etc T-shirts should not be worn. Removing any part of the team uniform, excluding shoes, while in the area of competition, is illegal and will result in a disqualification.

Undergarments: Undergarments may not have more than one visible manufacturers logo. Relays- All 4 relay participants must be present at check-in to receive hip numbers. All NFHS and NCHSAA uniform rules will be enforced.

Electronics: No electronic devices will be allowed in the competition area. This includes cell phones, iPods, and video cameras. Athletes will be disqualified from their event(s) if they have them in the competition area.

Infield: Athletes may warm-up on the infield prior to their event and must leave the infield immediately after their event. Athletes are not allowed to hang out on the infield. Only meet officials and volunteers are allowed on the infield. Coaches are not allowed on the infield.

Coaches: Coaches and scratches meeting will be held at 3:30 at the finish line. Every school will be expected to help out at the meet with field events, policing the infield, umpiring the curves and hurdles and relay exchange zones.
Coaches and athletes are expected to show good sportsmanship. Competitors who engage in taunting, profanity, baton throwing, or refusal to follow the instructions of a meet official will be disqualified.

Awards: The top 3 athletes and relay teams in each event will receive medals. Individual awards can be picked up at the awards table after the completion of the event. The champion and runner-up teams will receive trophies.
