Meet Information

This years Midwest 2A Regional Cross Country Championships will be held at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex (AKA Beeson Park) in Kernersville, NC on Saturday, October 31, 2015. We will once again be holing the Midwest 1A Regional in conjunction with the Midwest 1A and 4A Regionals. A few things you need to be aware about this meet:

1. Entries are due to me by using the online entry through milesplit (see number 6 below) by 2:59p.m, Friday, October 23, 2015. Remember you can only have seven (7) members per boys and girls team. Every school qualifies a team for the regional, if you do not have enough members (five) to compete as a team they compete as individuals. How you finish in your conference standings has no weighing on whether you qualify for regionals or not.

2. Time Schedule for the Meet

7:30 am - Facility opens
7:30 8:45 a.m. Course Walk on your own, course is very well marked and easy to follow.
8:15 am - 4A Coaches Meeting
8:45 am - 1A Coaches Meeting
9:00 am - 4A Girls Race
9:15 am - 2A Coaches Meeting
9:30 am - 1A Girls Race
10:00 am - 2A Girls Race
10:30 am - 4A Boys Race
11:00 am - 1A Boys Race
11:15 am - 4A Awards
11:30 am - 2A Boys Race
11:45 am - 1A Awards
12:20 pm - 2A Awards

3. All timing and scoring will be done by Rhodes Race Timing.

4. Athletes will be assigned bib numbers that you will place on the front of your uniform.

5. If you would like to practice at Beeson Park anytime before October 31 you will need to make a reservation at the Park. You can do this by calling Ernie Pages at (336) 992-0804 or e-mail Curtis Swisher at CSwisher@toknc.com.

6. Regional entries are done online this year at www.nc.milesplit.com. The Midwest 2A Meet Page is http://nc.milesplit.com/meets/213736-nchsaa-2a-midwest-regional#.Vgk4FNJVhHw Please go online today and register your team and athletes. You can go and change anything you enter between now and 2:59 pm Friday October 23. Remember only enter your top 7 boys and top 7 girls. I do not need your alternates, if you end up having to use an alternate you can let me know the week of the regional or the day of the regional.

7. Packet pick-up will be at the tent near the white trailer near the finish line.

8. The Course Route has changed. We will still be using the same trails, but the route is different. This will be the same route used for the state meet. I have attached a new course map for you.

10. Spectators will be charged $5 for entry into the meet.
