Committed Schools
Apex: Sydney Murphy is the state champion in the 4A long jump.
Asheville High School: Noah Thompson won the state indoor state 4A championship in the Long Jump and teammate Nate Thompson tied for second in the High Jump. The 4x400 relay finished 3rd. Pia Mackie ran to a fifth place finish in the 500 and Naomi Cartier was fourth in the 1000.
Burlington Cummings: The Cavaliers are led by nationally ranked Isaiah Moore, who ran and jumped to Championship titles at the 1/2A state indoor meet in the Long Jump, High Jump and 55m hurdles. He also placed third in the triple jump. The Ladies team is led by the dynamic duo of Kayla Moore and Kenyae Majors. Moore was first in the 55 hurdles and long jump, while Majors placed second in the triple and long jumps and third in the hurdles.
High Point Central: The Bison have entered sprint sensation Tamara Clark, who was third in the 3A Championship meet in the 300.
Knightdale: Jamie Brown was first in the High Jump and fifth in the long jump. Kimaini Hoffman finished first in the long and triple jumps and added a fifth in the 55. Marquaviouos Johnson was first in the 500 and fifth in the 300. The 4x4 relay won the 4A title.
North Forsyth: Steve Stowe finished second in the state 3A meet in the 1000. Geovante Hardy ran to a third place finish in the 55 hurdles. Brandon Gambrell was 2nd in the high jump, fourth in the 55 hurdles and fifth in the long jump. June Lisa Fisher will be competing in the sprints. She was a state finalist in the indoor 55.
Southeast Raleigh: Jamaree Murray scored in the 300 (1st) and 500 (2nd) in the 4A Championships. David Conner was sixth in the 500 and Jaquell Taylor finished fourth in the triple jump.
Jacklyn Howell won the 55 hurdles, placed fourth in the 55 and was seventh in the 300. She is nationally ranked in the hurdles. Hassana Clark was fourth in the shot put and Jasmine Allen earned a fifth place in the 500.
