We're on the hunt for feature stories to run on athletes through the end of the outdoor track season. Do you have an athlete that has a unique story to tell? We need your help to bring these stories to light! Send an email to jcreasy@MileSplit.com if you think you have an athlete with a strong story to tell. Some examples of feature stories we've run in the past that we wouldn't have found without the help of coaches and parents are below. Hey Jason - I’m pretty biased but think Zack Weekman would have a great story to tell. He’s a runner at North Raleigh Christian Academy. He has been running High School varsity track since his 7th grade year. His specialty is the hurdles. He was conference champion in the 110s and runner up in the 300s as a 9th grader. Finished 1st again in the conference 110s and second in the state his sophomore year. What’s remarkable is where he has come from out of an incredible work ethic. He plays football at NRCA also and as soon as the football season ends, he’s on the track preparing for outdoor track. Rain or shine, every day working to get ready. He’s also an almost straight A student (has two B’s since 9th grade). He starts his day at 545 to be at weight lifting at school and often studies till midnight. I mentioned I’m biased because I’m his dad and hurdle coach. Thanks for the interest Jim Weekman
