What's ahead for this week?

Believe or not, the cross country season is winding down and with that being said, there are only two meets left on the season. Thesemeets include eight regional competitions and one national championship.

The Big Question: When it's all said and done, who will be crowned the National Team Champion and Individual Champion?

NCAA Regional action is set for this weekend while the NCAA DI Championships will take place on November 17 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Regional competition will start friday with the Southeast regional in Charlotte; Mountain regional in Colorado; Northeast regional in Fairfield; South regional in Tallahassee; Midwest regional in Missouri; Mid-Atlantic regional in Penn; West regional in Washington; and the Great Lakes regional in Wisconsin.

Advancement from regionals to nationals is based on automatic berths and at-large bids. The top two teams from each regional meet will earn automatic berths to the national meet. The next thirteen best teams from all regions combined will receive at-large bids.

Also, the top four  individuals from each regional meet who are designated to team that didn't qualify for nationals will advance as well.

MileSplit U will have a preview of each regional meet and a meet central on Wednesday. Stay tuned!
