North Carolina Girls Cross Country Performer of the Week (Aug. 24-30)

After another week of cross-country racing in North Carolina, it's time to vote for the MileSplit North Carolina girls' cross-country performer of the week.

This Week's Nominees:

Ella Harbaugh, Marvin Ridge (North Carolina): A 5K in 17:30.22 at Carolinas Kickoff was enough to take first place out of 109 finishers, with a 23.6-second gap back to the runner-up. The mark stands as the fastest in MileSplit's database at Metrolina Christian Academy since 2024, a span covering 433 athletes.

Maya Little, Pine Lake Preparatory (North Carolina): The margin told the story at Fleet Feet of Winston Salem Presents the "Run at the Farm": 97.0 seconds separated the winning 5K time of 18:46.00 from the rest of a 104-runner field, good for first place. That performance now sits as the fastest recorded at Denton Farm Park in MileSplit's database since 2021, a span of 204 athletes.

Kara Crotts, Jesse Carson (North Carolina): Crossing in a 5K time of 21:01.00 at the SPC Pre-Conference meet was good for first among 75 finishers, more than two minutes ahead of the next runner. The time also improved on a prior mark of 21:28.49 at Frank Lisk Park, 27.5 seconds faster on that course, and now ranks No. 34 of 726 athletes in MileSplit's database there since 2019.

Harper Roe, Marvin Ridge (North Carolina): A tighter finish at Carolinas Kickoff still produced a win, 19:56.79 over the 5K distance good for first of 136 finishers by 7.6 seconds. That time ranks No. 14 of 433 athletes in MileSplit's database at Metrolina Christian Academy since 2024.

Lillian Broadway, Piedmont (North Carolina): First across the line at the Myers Park Home Meet #1 in a 5K time of 22:05.00, well clear of a 56-runner field by 122.0 seconds. The performance ranks No. 14 of 513 athletes in MileSplit's database at the Myers Park HS Course since 2019.
