This Week's Nominees:
Brooks Roslonski, T.C. Roberson (North Carolina): Winning the WNC Cross Country Carnival outright, a 5K clocking of 15:52.16 held off the field of 389 finishers by 15.8 seconds. That time ranks No. 8 of 2,188 athletes in MileSplit's database at Jackson Park since 2019, and it marks a 53.6-second improvement over a previous 16:45.76 on this course.
Bryce Cooke, Parkwood (North Carolina): A 15:03.85 clocking over 5K at the Carolinas Kickoff was good for first place among 144 finishers, 37.6 seconds up on the runner-up. That time stands as the fastest in MileSplit's database at Metrolina Christian Academy since 2024, a span of 675 athletes, and it improves on a prior mark of 15:43.50 on this course by 39.6 seconds.
Blaine Hamlett, High Point Christian Academy (North Carolina): The 5K at Fleet Feet of Winston Salem Presents the "Run at the Farm" went out in 16:15.00, enough to win by 24.0 seconds over 141 finishers. The time ranks No. 2 of 273 athletes in MileSplit's database at Denton Farm Park since 2021.
Ralph Pfeil, Hoggard (North Carolina): First place at the Laney Varsity/JV Home Meet Season Opener #1 came via a 16:27.56 5K, topping 125 finishers by 28.5 seconds. The mark checks in at No. 49 of 1,828 athletes in MileSplit's database at Olsen Park XC Course since 2019 and improves on an earlier 16:36.20 on this course by 8.6 seconds.
Samuel Neil, Seaforth High School (North Carolina): A 16:18.00 5K took the win at the Knights Invitational, finishing 15.0 seconds clear of the field of 130. The time is the fastest in MileSplit's database at Red Oak MS XC Course since 2019, a span covering 820 athletes.
