DURHAM, N.C. — With a top-10 finish, senior Heather Connaroe led three Wildcat runners in the top section of the 5000-meter run as the Davidson women's track and field team opened competition at the Duke Invitational Friday in Wallace Wade Stadium.
Conarroe finished in 10th place in 17:44.59. Classmate Sarah Cline followed in 12th in 17:51.21, while senior Lauren Childs placed 15th in 17:56.12.
"We got some really great performances out of Heather, Sarah and Lauren tonight," Head Coach Jen Straub said. "They each ran a great race, and I'm really proud of the season they are putting together and the growth they have shown!"
The Wildcats will conclude competition at the Duke Invitational tomorrow.
