1)  What kind of training have you been doing?
We started out the season doing mostly long sprints (450, 500, 600). But as the season has progressed and I have gotten good conditioning, I am doing more short sprints to work on my top-end speed and turnover. A workout I have been doing recently that I like is 200, 300, 300, 200. All at about 80-90%

2)  How long have you been doing track?  Do you run club track in the summer time?  If yes, with whom?
I have been doing track since 8th grade. I have ran summer track for the rockville striders but this past summer I ran for the Hummingbirds. We won nationals with 40.34 in the 4x1, and took fourth in the 4x4 at nationals.

3)  What is your favorite track event?  What is your favorite kind of training/workout?
My favorite track event would have to be the 400. I say so because it's a great mix of speed and endurance. In my opinion as far as sprinting goes, it is the hardest event to train for, so it also shows the hardest workers. Saying that, my favorite kind of workouts would be longer sprint workouts. Because even though they hurt the most, I know it will make me better.

4)  Do you follow any other sports?  If so, which ones?  Do you play any other sports?  If so, which ones? Who is your favorite team/athlete?  Why?
I am a sports fanatic haha. I like every sport from baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, football, and track of course. I have a favorite team and a favorite player for every sport. I played football since 4th grade but didn't play this past season. I played soccer and basketball through meddle school. My favorite athlete growing up would have to be Randy Moss. In every sense he was like a freak of nature and it's always fun to see him jump over a couple guys to catch the ball.

5)  What are you college plans?  Where do you see yourself?  What about after college?  What are your plans for track then?
I am still trying to decide on the university I'm going to attend. I see myself at a school that can offer me not only a good track team, but also good academics. Track will only take me but so far, so it's important to me that I get a degree.

6) Who is the most influential person in your life and why?  What is your favorite quote?
The most influential person in my life would have to be my uncle Zeik. He taught me about everything, whether it was school, coaching my little league football team, giving me advice about girls, or just regular things in life. He fell ill and passed away in 2007, but throughout his illness he still always kept a smile on his face and fought through so much. He is also my biggest motivation to succeed in whatever I do.
My favorite quote:
"Oh don't laugh, don't laugh. Never say never. Because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion." -Michael Jordan

7) What are your goals for rest of season?  Outdoor?
I want to sweep the WCAC in the 100, 200, and 400. I also want to be an indoor and outdoor all-american

8)  Do you have any other good athletes in your family?

My father was a good athlete but never played anything past high school.

9)  Tell us about your team?  What is it like?  How are your teammates?
I love my team, they're great. We push each other in practice, and help each other outside of track. Running track has helped me gain some lifelong friendships, and we all motivate each other to do well.

10)  How important is your coach to your success?  How?
My coach is a tremendous part of my success. He provides me with good workouts, takes me to meets where I can become exposed to colleges. And overall he has been there for me since I was middle school. He's a type of coach that will do anything for his athletes and has done everything necessary for me to succeed.
