This Week's Nominees:
Cassidee Fraser, North Lenoir (North Carolina): Swept the sprints at the Lenoir County Championship, clocking 11.18 in the 100 and 23.78 in the 200. The sophomore leads all North Carolina sophomores in both events.
Mason Moore, Oak Grove High School (North Carolina): Won the 800 at the PTC meet in 2:07.25, posting the top time among this week's competitors.
A'Chonacey Mabry, Southwest Edgecombe (North Carolina): Jumped 19-11 to win the long jump at Conference Meet #2 at West Craven, the top mark among North Carolina juniors this season.
Promise Lovelace, Statesville (North Carolina): Threw 46-10 to win the shot put at the Alexander Central Home Meet #4 and added a runner-up finish in the discus at 142-6.
Laila Jones, West Forsyth (North Carolina): The sophomore threw 151-7 to win the discus and 43-7 to take the shot put at the East Forsyth, West Forsyth, Parkland, Atkins meet. She leads all North Carolina sophomores in both throwing events.
