Davidson Fifth in SoCon Men's Track Power Rankings

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Midway through the 2010 Southern Conference men's outdoor track & field season, Davidson ranks fifth in the conference power rankings.
Appalachian State leads the men's power rankings. The rankings are determined by the top eight times or marks that are reported by the schools for each event that will be conducted at the conference championships in April.
The Mountaineer men, who claimed the men's indoor league championship title, tallied 276 points to take first place in the rankings. Western Carolina came in at second with 249 points, while Samford rounded out the top three with 96 points.
Davidson will next compete at the Duke Invitational on Friday and the Liberty College Invitational on Saturday.
The 2010 Southern Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held April 24-25 in Boone, N.C.
