The NCRunners Middle School Elite Invitational is set for May 29th at Gaston Christian School in Gaston, North Carolina! After having to cancel in 2020 we're excited to bring the meet back in 2021 and continue to grow Middle School Track & Field in North Carolina!

While the previous two editions of the meet we've had athletes representing schools or under track clubs with other athletes from their schools, this year we are opening the meet up to middle schools, unattached individuals and club teams since a lot of counties around the state are not having a regular middle school season. We have set up our online registration to use athletes' personal best marks from any year or season as we know athletes have had little opportunity to race over the last year.
Information on meet entries is below. We assume the COVID restrictions at the end of May will be lighter than they are now, so we hope to be able to increase these numbers to meet demand and will email coaches with any updates with increased registration as we make the decision on them, so sign up your team to compete so you can receive updates on the meet as they come.
It will cost $5 per athlete to enter the meet and they are able to compete in a max of 4 events whether that be field events, individual track events, or relays. We'll provide personalized bibs for athletes to wear with their last names on them to wear during the event.
- For the 100m Dash, 100m Hurdles, 200m Dash, 300m Hurdles, and 400m Dash we will limit to the top 40 entries or 5 heats.
- For the distance events, we will accept the top 36 entries.
- For field events we will accept the top 36 events.
- Relays entries with not have a limit.
- Athletes will be able to compete in a max of 4 events from Relays to Field Events to Individual Track Events.
Full meet information can be found on the meet page. The time schedule is tentative and is subject to change as is the order of events based on the weather as well as what we are able to end up doing with the entries closer to the event date.
