On the girls' side the Alder sisters are eager to make their season debuts against Gwen Parks (Reagan) and Sierra Collins (Harnett Central) . Lauren Wimberly (Pinecrest) will be the X-factor in this race. The sophomore had a stand out freshman XC season and with months of training she could very well be in the mix for a runner-up finish this weekend. Caroline Murrell (Northwood) has a chance to dip under the 19:00 barrier for the first time, as could Madeline Wells (Ryline Academy). If this race gets out to a quick start this could very well be some of the fastest times we will see all season.
