MileSplit NC XC Madness: Clash of the Classes!

We just voted for the GOAT of North Carolina Track, but which recent graduating class was the best for XC?

Over the course of the next week we take a look at what graduating class was most dominant in XC! On the guys side we feature some big names in NC history. Six of these graduates are in the exclusive Sub-15:00 group: John Tatter, Connor Lane, Jeremy Brown, Ben Huffman, Ian Milder, and Patrick Sheehan. Huffman, Milder, and Sheehan all ran their Sub-15:00 mark at the 2013 Foot Locker South Regional. That 2014 class will be tough to beat with a dominant top three. Huffman's 14:44 is the best XC time in North Carolina history! The 2020 class may not have any Sub-15:00 but may be the deepest. They feature 6 runners who have ran 15:10 or under.

Like the boy's side, we see a lot of fire power at the front. The Frazier sisters lead the way for their respective classes (Wesley 2013 and Ryen 2015). Ryen Frazier is the state record holder from the 2014 Foot Locker South Regional where she was victorious. 2015 is the top seed on the girls side, along with Ryen Frazier, they have 6 girls under 17:45. Frazier and Nevada Mareno are the only two girls in NC history to dip under 17:00! 2015 also has Alana Hadley. She never ran for Ardrey Kell but ran at Foot Locker Regional as a NC athlete. She focused on marathon and half-marathon training/racing while in high school.
