Schedule

Khaleb McRae (Southern Durham/Durham Striders)

Khaleb McRae has been the biggest sensation in the country this summer track season.  McRae has run 52.78 in the 400m Hurdles as well as 46.54 in the 400m Dash. McRae will compete in the 400m Hurdles tomorrow as well as the 200m this weekend.  McRae ran 21.23 (+3.5) last weekend and will look to set a new wind legal PR as he preps for the AAU Junior Olympic Games.

Cameron Council (Bull City Express/Kentucky)

Council was a superstar out of the class of 2018 with Bull City Express and Northwood.  He's currently a freshman at Kentucky, but still qualifies for the 17-18 age group and will compete in the 100m Dash this weekend.  Council ran 10.43 (+2.1) a few weeks ago and is in form to break his overall PR of 10.42 this weekend.

Allysia Farrar (Cummings/Durham Striders)

The NCHSAA 2A 100m and 200m State Champion Allysia Farrar will compete in the 17-18 100m and 200m Dash as the top seed in both events this weekend.  Farrar will hope to break her PRs of 11.93 and 24.37 and carry a lot of momentum towards the AAU Junior Olympic Games.  Farrar has had a stellar junior year and will look to add a few Russell Blunt ECI medals to her list of accomplishments.

Sierra Fletcher (Southeast Raleigh/Island Gliders)

Sierra Fletcher makes her return to the hurdles this weekend after suffering an injury at indoor nationals.  This will be her first individual race while healthy since the indoor track season.  She did run a leg on Southeast Raleigh's National Championship 4x100m as well as their 4x200m at New Balance Nationals as she looks to gear up for Ohio State in the fall.

Michael Bourne (Central Virginia) and Alex Nunley (Run U Xpress)

We'll have an exciting battle between Central Virginia's Michael Bourne and Run U Xpress' Alex Nunley in the 15-16 100m Hurdles.  Nunley has run a PR of 14.14 this summer and Bourne 14.12 both coming at New Balance Nationals.  Bourne will also compete in the 400m Hurdles and Nunley back in the 200m Dash.

Kaylyn Brown (Purpose Driven)

Middle school sprint star Kaylyn Brown is slated to compete in the 15-16 Girls 100m Dash and 400m Dash.  Brown holds impressive PRs of 11.94 and 54.01 in the two events this year.  Brown is a rising 9th grader and despite being young for the 15-16 Age Group she'll be a contender for the Russell Blunt titles as well as at the AAU Junior Olympic Games.

Kendall Jordan (Cummings/Durham Striders)

Kendall Jordan had one of the most impressive years as anyone in North Carolina this year as she looks to close out a stellar sophomore campaign.  Jordan will have one final meet before the AAU Junior Olympic Games where she'll compete in the 100m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles and Triple Jump.  Jordan is amongst the top athletes in the state in all three events with PRs of 14.11, 1:02.99 and 40-5.75 and looks to reap havoc on the 15-16 Age Group at the national meet and Russell Blunt ECI.

Akala Garrett (Purpose Driven)

Akala Garrett has won many AAU National Titles and will look to add two more in the 100m Hurdles and 200m Hurdles this summer.  She'll compete in both events this weekend where she holds PRs of 14.00 as well as 26.83.  Garrett is the most promising rising high school hurdles the states ever seen, and we'll see if she cracks the 14 second mark this weekend leading up to the AAU Junior Olympics.

Elizabeth Deen (Greensboro Champions)

11-12  Age Group Long Jump National Record holder Elizabeth Deen is set to compete this weekend in the Long Jump, 80m Hurdles, and 100m Dash.  Deen is the overwhelming favorite in the Long Jump clearing the 20 foot mark as a 12 Year Old.  She's an elite short hurdler as well as a sprinter so we should see big things from her on the track as well and the long jump.
