DURHAM, N.C. – Anna Farias-Eisner of the Duke women's track and field and cross country teams was one of two Duke student-athletes awarded the Wallace Wade Scholarship for post-graduate studies at Duke University.
Farias-Eisner, who graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.815 and a 4.000 in her final semester, will receive the $15,000 award to pursue a Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies at Duke. A Biological Anthropology and Anatomy major, Farias-Eisner also hopes to attend law school.
Farias-Eisner was recently named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, capping a four-year career in which she was a four-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll and an All-East performer as a freshman and senior.
Farias-Eisner won the award along with Duke baseball player Kyle Butler, who is pursuing his MMS at Duke's Fuqua School of Business.
