Bojangles Classic Meet Records That Could Fall This Weekend

The Bojangles Classic will be streamed LIVE on MileSplit!  We'll be live from Spring Valley High School on both Friday night and all day Saturday!  Make sure you're signed up for a MileSplit Universal Subscription to tune in.  Here's a list of all 203 schools headed to Columbia this weekend.

Boys 800

We saw John Crossley of West Carteret run 1:51.02 back in 2013, getting the upset over Tretez Kinnaird as both broke the meet record. Crossley was doubling back from running 4:14.84 in the mile earlier in the day.

Crossley went on the set the North Carolina 800 state record later that year while winning the New Balance Outdoor National 800 title running 1:48.01. Ian Delgado (Green Hope, NC) has his sights set on Crossley's record and proved he was going to be in range of taking it down this outdoor season. Delagdo was the New Balance Indoor Nationals runner-up with a time of 1:51.06. He'll be fresh heading into the 800 as the Green Hope star and will look to take down a strong field in his outdoor 800 debut.

Delgado will also face off with Davonte Fuller (Stratford, SC) who has run 1:52.00, Kyle Durham (Weddington, NC) who ran 1:53.98 a few weeks ago, and Theo Woods (E.C. Glass) who ran 2:29.72 for the 1000 indoors.

Fuller and Delgado battled at last years NCRunners Elite Tune-Up where Fuller edged Delgado 1:53.38 to 1:53.71.
