VOTE: Boys Performance Of The Week Poll



From the sprints to distance to field events, indoors and outdoors, Floridians were showcasing their talents. Which boy had the best performance of the week? You decide. Vote in our poll by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced at the beginning of the week.

About The Finalists:

Hugh Brittenham: The Estero junior won the mile at the Dumanis Super Meet in 4:24.65 and was the runner-up at 800m with a time of 1:57.82.

Tyrese Cooper: The Miami Norland junior, who competes under Miami Gardens XPress, tripled at the Great Southwest Classic, winning the 60m (6.83), 200m (21.38) and 400m (47.55) in US top 10 times.

Daidren Davis: A senior at Bartram Trail, Davis was the runner-up in the 110m hurdles at the BSPK Preseason Classic and won the 300m hurdles in a state leading 39.24s. He was 11th at the state meet last year in that event.

Israel Diaz: If the name doesn't ring a bell, it soon will. The Citrus High School senior won the 2A high jump state title in 2017 and was 6th at the USATF Junior Olympics. Diaz opened the year at the Lecanto Invitational with a monster jump of 6'06".

Joey Fitzpatrick: The Vanguard senior debuted with a very impressive 4:27.19 1,600m to win the Villages/Marion County Classic.

Milton Ingraham: Want to prove you are a force to be reckoned with this season? The Hallandale senior laid it down in the throws winning the Hallandale All Comers Meet discus with a launch of 180'07" and the shot put with a mark of 57'03".

Cameron Leiba: Leiba may have been the speediest at the Hallandale All-Comers Meet. The junior from Dillard High School ran a windy 21.34 and followed that up with a 34.17 in the 300m dash to give him the double.

Noah Mumme: In a week of good pole vaulting, the Satellite senior shined the brightest. The two-time 2A state champion won the Flagler Pinnacle Classic with a mark 15'06", the second best vault in his high school career.

Chase Rivera: The Bolles junior capped off his 2017 track and field season with back to back 1:56 800m times and a fourth place finish at state. He picked up where he left off this year with a win in the two lap event at the Bolles Pre-Season Mini Meet in a state leading time of 1:56.13.

Tyree Simeon: The Northeast senior was 4th at last year's state meet in the 800 and put that mid-distance prowess on display at the Hallandale All-Comers Meet repeating as champion in the 600 (1:20.14) and placing second in the 1,500m (4:20.72)
