There are 6 Elite races tomorrow at Camel City Elite for JDL Fast Track's premier event of the indoor track season. 3 of which feature current or former North Carolina stars. Check out the full press release from JDL Fast Track.

The main event, the Men's Mondo Mile will feature Reagan graduate and current Nike Oregon Project member Craig Engels who is looking to eclipse the World Indoor A Standard of 3:55.00.  It'll also feature current North Carolina distance star Cameron Ponder (Mount Tabor) who is hoping to break former teammate Kenny Kneisel's Indoor Mile State Record of 4:11.70.  Both athletes look to accomplish look to accomplish major feats. on their hometown indoor track.

Green Hope graduate and current NC State All-American Elly Henes will take on a loaded Women's 3000 in hopes of earning a NCAA qualifying mark.  Henes currently sits 10th in the NCAA in the 5000 with a 15:49.29 up in Boston back on December 2nd.  Henes ended her sophomore cross country season on a high note becoming an All-American with a 40th place finish at NCAAs running 20:27.7 for 6K.  To qualify for NCAA Indoor Nationals your time must be of the top 16 entries at the end of the indoor season.  Last year you needed under 9:08, but this race did send two athletes Rachel Koon (NC State) and Allie Buchalski (Furman) to NCAAs in 2017.

Porter Ridge graduate and current App State middle distance runner Ryan Hastings will also face off with some pros in the  Small Batch Beer Co. 800.  Hastings has really come into his own during his career at App State.  He has run 48.96 and 1:50.48 this indoor season. Hastings 800 PR is 1:48.02 from his Junior Outdoor Track season.  Hastings sits 34th in the NCAA currently in the event, and a strong performance tomorrow could boost him into the National Championships.
