Mehki Wall Wins 13 Year Old 200 Hurdles National Title at AAU Junior Olympic Games

Mehki Wall (Carolina Flash TC) won the 13 Year Old Boys 200m Hurdle Finals yesterday at the AAU Junior Olympic Games.  In Monday's prelim Wall was the faster qualifier clocking a 26.96.  Wall got out well in the finals and would not give up the lead after coming into the homestretch with a slight advantage over Malachi Collier in lane 6.  Wall held a PR from the beginning of the season of 26.75 and will return to Greensboro, North Carolina as a national champion with a new PR.  

Wall also enters the weekend as the #2 seed in the boys 100m Hurdles, #9 seed in the boys 100m Dash, and #28 seed in the boys 200 meter dash.  Wall took 12th in the 100m prelims advancing to the semi-finals and also 22nd in the 200m prelims qualifying for the semi finals.  He will have a busy day today with the 100m Hurdle prelims followed by the 100m dash semis.
