2015 End of Season Rank - 9th

2015 NCHSAA 3A State Meet Finish - 4th

Asheville loses their star in Noah Shore but still returns a strong team for the 2015 season.  Shore was their front runner over the last few years and they will look for someone to step up into that roll.  Davis Turner showed some promise during the track season and could be the guy to step up into Shores roll.  He had his best track season running 4:26 for 1600 and finishing 9th in the 1600 at the 3A State Meet.  Turner ran 16:28 and was their #3 last season.

Haven Honeycutt had an insane freshman season for Asheville and easily could be the guy to fill the shoes for Noah Shore.  He had a huge race at the NCHSAA 3A 3200 where he finished 8th running 9:37, which is huge for a freshman.  He focused on the 3200 last fall and should be really ready for the 5k distance in XC.  Honeycutt should be due for a huge breakout season as he heads into 2016 with much more experience since last year.

Collin Kemper heads into his senior season and will be the #3 returner for Asheville.  Kemper is a four year varsity runner and has always placed well at the state meet placing 60th, 51st, and 36st improving every year.  If Kemper could get down to about 20th at this years state meet it would be a huge 1-2-3 punch for Asheville this season.  Where Asheville looks for answers is their 4/5.  Isaiah First only runs cross country for Asheville, but has been a varsity runner as a freshman and sophomore.  If First comes back in good form and can drop his time into the mid 16s it'll be big. But  Asheville doesn't have tremendous depth and will need a 5th runner to step up big time this fall. If Asheville is able to find an answer at #5 they should be a podium team in XC this fall.
