2016 Preseason Rank based off 2015 times - 18th

Reagan ended their season on a sad note in 2015 taking the 5th place spot in the Midwest Regional behind Grimsley and missing out on sending a team to the state meet.  This year should be just as difficult, but Reagan returns their top 4 and only lost their #5 girl from last years team.  Top girl Isabel Zimmermann really turned into a superstar on the track.  She earned 3 podium finishes between the indoor and outdoor season on the track in the 1600 twice and 3200 once.  She ran 5:00.69 at the outdoor state meet where she finished 4th in one of the best girls 1600 fields we've seen. She should be able to drop a significant amount of time off of her 19:01 PR and should be a contender to finish in the top 5 at the 4A State Championships.

Ainsley Cooper broke Reagan's freshman record in the 5K last season running 19:37 and should have another big XC season this fall.  She ran 5:30 and 12:12 on the track this spring.  As a freshman she qualified as an individual for the state XC meet so should come back with a lot of confidence on the XC course.  Sallie Cook got much better last track season than in previous years.  She finished 6th at the Midwest regional running 2:22 in the 800, which is nearly 10 seconds better than her previous seasons best.  Though she is more of a middle distance runner she should still fair well on the XC course and should be a sub 20 girl for the Raiders.

Lydia Hughes might be the girl that Reagan looks at to step up this year.  She had a strong track season running 5:46 and 12:45 and should be fighting to be in the top 5 this season.  Morgan Kilby and Allie Orgnon return as the Raiders 4th and 5th runner, but didn't run indoor or outdoor track last season.  They'll be big question marks for Reagan, assuming they're still running and healthy, as they move into the 2016 season.  Zimmermann can only carry the team so much up front and Reagan will need to develop a strong 4 and 5 if they look to be a competitive team this year.
