The 2015-2016 school year has provided some great highlights in both cross country and track across the Sunshine State. In the coming weeks many of our seniors will head out to start their college careers both athletically and academically. We wanted to salute them one more time in this special feature and say thank you for your support over the years.

Flrunners.com: What was your most memorable race/moment?

Brandon Cachon: Being 3A team runner-up at the state meet my senior year.

FLR: Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four year?

BC: Myself ,because i really had to push myself at moments when a lot of other would have quit.

FLR: If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

BC: Nothing, I loved the experiences i went though and what I learned throughout my year. It made me into the runner I am today.

FLR: What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

BC: When i lost at regionals my junior year in the 400m and became 2nd in the state. I had to really forget about it at the state meet. I ended up winning states in the 400m.

FLR: What will you miss the most?

BC: I'll miss the high school track meets with my friends that i grew up with and have been running with for a long time. It's going to be weird not practicing and going to track meets with these kids.

FLR: What advice you would give to younger athletes?

BC: Never stop grinding. If you work hard enough you will achieve what you want. You never know what will happen in life.

FLR: What are your college plans?

BC: Will be attending UNC and studying Exercise and Sports Science and run track for them.

FLR: Who would you like to say thank you to?

BC: I would like to say thank you to my family. They believed in me since day one when not many people did. Thank you mom and dad for all the time you guys have spent taking me to track meets and always being proud of me and making sure I wasn't to hard on myself. Shannon Rolquin and Christina Rolquin thank you guys for coming to as many meets as you guys could and always supporting me and cheering me on. Also Coach E, he pushed me to limits that i thought i would never be at. Thank you for never giving up on me and always sticking by my side.
