Dutch Gains National Honors

Last weekend at the Eastern High School Challenge, Johnny Dutch of Clayton HS broke a national record that had a stood since 1995. He ran 7.07 for the 55m high hurdles which shaved one hundredth of a second off the previous national record. It was 6 hundredths of a second faster than his previous best, and he told me that was due to his continuous practice out of the blocks.

Sports Illustrated chooses one high school athlete each week and names them their "Primetime Performer". This week, Johnny received this honor. For the full article by Dave Krider, visit Sports Illustrated's website.

Also, USA Track and Field named Johnny Dutch its "Athlete of the Week". You can check out the article at the New's and Observer.

Congrats to Johnny!
