Bishop McGuinness' top 2 girls from this past XC season traveled to Spokane, WA to participate in the National Jr. Olympic meet.
Coach Robert Youtz said the conidtions were far from ideal. "It was snowy/rainy and cold (33 degrees)."
Heather Hofmann finished 21st in the Young Women's race, running 20:40:00. Her place earned her All-American status, as the top 25 receive this honor. Cissy Nitz, racing in the Intermediate division, finished 85th and ran 20:57.94.
Heather and Cissy are coming off a successful season at Bishop McGuinness. They led their team to a 2nd place finish in the 1A divison with 3rd and 4th place finishes respectfully.
