ASHEVILLE — A bumper sticker widely seen at cross country meets of all levels reads "Cross Country — The sport you don't play."
On the contrary, Asheville High senior Andrew North and the Cougars have been playing a lot this fall. Playing a game of catch-up 5 kilometers at a time that could reach its conclusion in the next month.
"We really want to catch (Roberson) at one of these meets soon, and (individually) I want to try and catch (Rams senior Josh) Dubin," North said. "The overall attitude of our team is great, and we're all really motivated to run faster. It's definitely a great team to be a part of."
