Forest Park Invitational, MO

Coverage

Highlights

  • Taylor Werner (Ste. Genevieve) smoked her own course record by 12 seconds, winning the green varsity race in a time of 16:47!  Hannah Long, Eureka, finished 2nd with a solid time of 17:37.10.  
  • Patrick Perrier, O'Fallon IL, won the boys green varsity race with a smoking 15:03 clocking, with Noah Kauppila 2nd in 15:13.  Patrick Gregory was 3rd in 15:15 with Spencer Haik 4th in 15:16.

 

Fastback Shootout, CA

Highlights

  • Sarah Baxter, Simi Valley, torched her own course record over the 1.92 mile layout at Mt. SAC to win the senior girls race in a quick 10:43 clocking.
  • For the second straight week Simi Valley and Great Oak were very close as the score was 53 to 57 with Simi Valley on top in the merged results.

 

Classic Suburban Conference Preview, MN

Highlights

  • Obsa Ali, Richfield, won the boys varsity race with a super quick 15:41.2 clocking, nearly 2 minutes up on second place.  

 

Knights Crossing XC Invitational, VA

Highlight

  • Allie Klimkiewicz, Oakton, blasted her way to an 18:10 clocking to win the varsity girls race.  Kayla Montgomery, Mount Tabor NC, finished a solid 2nd place with a time of 18:14.  Blacksburg, VA girls snagged a solid victory in the girls team race with a very tight pack.  
  • Matthew Brafford, George Washington WV, won over a solid field in the boys varsity race with a time of 15:21.8.  William Roberson, Broughton, finished 2nd with a time of 15:39.  Broughton won the team title.

 

BYU Autumn Classic, UT

Coverage

Highlights

  • Davis, UT, girls steamrolled everyone, scoring just 26 points with a 53 second spread.  Aubrey Argyle led Davis with an impressive win in 18:43.60.  Britney Lund, Maple Mountain, was 2nd in 18:48.30.  
  • Davis also swept the boys title with 85 points and a 52 second spread.  Clayson Shumway, Lone Peak, took the individual title with a time of 16:06.70.

Highlights

  • Madi McLellan, The Woodlands, dominated the girls gold race as she won by 36 seconds with a 17:59.24 clocking.  The Woodlands won big with a mere 33 points over Katy Seven Lakes, 68.  
  • In the boys gold race Frank Lara, Houston Strake Jesuit, won in a great race over Bradley Dohner, Klein Oak, 15:19.94 to 15:21.57.  The Woodlands also took the boys title with 63 points.  

 

Herriman Invitational, UT

Highlights

  • Kramer Morton, Alta, won for the second straight year in very muddy conditions with a time of 17:31.  American Fork dominated the team competition with 36 points and a 56 second spread.  Connor McMillan and Zachary Jacklin were 2-3 for the Cavemen in their dominate victory.  

 

MSU Spartan Invitational, MI

Highlights

  • In the boys elite varsity race Ryan Robinson, Waterford Mott, won by inches over Keenan Rebera, Lansing Catholic, with both runners at 15:28.  Jesse Hersha, Concord, was 3rd in 15:31.  Waterford Mott won the team crown with 90 points. 
  • Audrey Belf, Seaholm, was dominate in the elite girls varsity race with a time of 17:14.  Lauren Brasure, Rockford, was 2nd in 17:47.  Northville won the team crown with 98 points over Seaholm, 106, and Saline, 116.  

 

Sundodger Invitational, WA

Highlights

  • Joe Hardy, Seattle Prep, rocked his season debut with a quick 14:47.20 clocking for the win.  Cameron Stanish, Garfield, was 2nd in 14:58.22.  Gig Harbor, WA, took top team honors with a crazy showing, packing 4 runners between 15:08.88 and 15:09.10!!  Mahmoud Moussa was 3rd in 15:08.88, Wolfgang Beck was 4th in 15:08.99, Tristan Peloquin was 5th in 15:09.06, and Logan Carroll was 6th in 15:09.10.  The team scored 63 points as Kamiakin was 2nd with 91 points.
  • Brenna Peloquin, Gig Harbor, won the girls race with a time of 17:40.15 with Nicole Goecke, Prairie, 2nd in 17:44.48.  Eisenhower won the girls team race with 91 points.  

 

Pier Park Invitational, OR

Highlights

  • Ella Donaghu, Grant OR, won in a very close battle over Alexa Efraimson, Camas WA, by .1 seconds! The times were 17:28.53 to 17:28.63.

Highlights

  • Mark Hadley, won the boys varsity race with a swift 15:07.8 to just nip Nicholas Elswick, Chardon, 2nd with a time of 15:08.7 over a tough layout.

 

Frank Dieckgraff Invitational, AK

Highlights

  • Allie Ostrander, Kanai Central, won big with a fine 17:11.10 clocking, winning by over 70 seconds!

 

Liberty Bell Invitational, CO

Highlights

  • Heavy rains have been hammering Colorado over the past several days, keeping many teams and individuals away from Liberty Bell this year.  But that wasn't the only problem of the weekend.  Kyle Carrozza and the Albuquerque Academy boys steamrolled the competition in the boys Division 1 race with Kyle winning in 15:44.  But wait, they were disqualified as a team and the most credible reason to date is excessive celebration.  This left the winning time as Louis Hood, Arapahoe, with a 15:53 clocking.  Arapahoe also won the team title with 38 points.  More on the controversy coming later today.
  • Zachary Alhamra, Pine Creek, won the Division 2 race with the fastest time of the day, a 15:31 clocking.  
  • In the girls Division 1 race Emma Gee, Legacy, won big with her time of 18:04.  Albuquerque Academy girls won the team competition.

Highlights

  • Frosh Lexi King, Marvin Ridge, won the girls Varsity race and tied the course record with her quick 18:29 clocking!

 

Spiked Shoe Invitational, PA

Highlights

  • In the girls Varsity race a big statement was made by Amelia Paladino, University, with a 17:38 clocking for a 12 second victory.  Kelsey Potts, a Mount Lebanon soph, was 2nd in 17:50 and Cumberland Valley soph Maddy Clahane was 3rd in 18:09.  Mount Lebanon rolled in the team competition with 61 points.
  • Zach Brehm, Carlisle, won the boys Varsity race in 15:46 with Griffin Molino, South Williamsport, 2nd in 15:54.  State College won a close team battle over Carlisle 57 to 64.  

 

Bluegrass XC Invitational, KY

Coverage

Highlights

  • John Spencer, Lafayette, won with a time of 15:19.80 over Eric Baugh, Villa Madonna, was 2nd in 15:25.47.
  • Michaela Reinhart, Lexington Catholic, won big in the girls varsity race with a time of 18:00.79.  Emma Valle, Lafayette, finished 2nd in 18:06.84.

 

Bulldog XC Invitational, PA

Coverage

Highlights

  • Cardinal O'Hara boys rolled away with this one, winning with a point total of 27 to 109 over West Chester East.  Kevin James won for the squad individually in 15:12.5 as they put 5 in the top 9 overall.  
  • Kara Steinke, Methacton, won the girls title easy with a time of 18:18.4.  Central Bucks East won over North Penn 40 to 85.

 

Rumble through the Jungle, KY

Coverage

Highlights

  • Gabby Karas, Martha Layne, won the Varsity girls race with a quick 18:27 clocking.  Caroline Grogan, Oldham, was 2nd in 18:52.
  • Jonathan Taylor, Portland Christian, won the boys varsity race with a time of 16:10.19.

 

Laguna Hills XC Invitational, CA

Highlights

  • In the boys class races there were some interesting results as the Canyon (1:19.40) boys took down Warren (1:19.51) and Arcadia (1:20.16) in total time with Dana Hills tying them for third.  Steve Correa, San Pedro, took top individual honors with a time of 14:51, taking down Estevan De La Rosa, Arcadia, who had a time of 15:09, 2nd fastest on the day.  Jose Pacheco, California, was 3rd in 15:17 and Jake Ogden, Dana Hills, was 4th in 15:30.
  • In the womens class races Capo Valley had a faster total time than Vista Murietta.  Individually, Bethan Knights, Northwood, took top honors with a time of 17:36 with Roni Yamane, Arcadia, finishing 2nd in 17:47.  

 

Harvey Braus Invitational, IL

Highlights

  • Lindsey Graham, Glenbard West, won the girls 3-mile race varsity race with a quick 17:08.40 clocking.  Glenbard West, IL looked good, winning the team race with 45 points.  
  • Billy Thomas, Hoffman Estates, won the varsity boys 3-mile race with a time of 14:38.10.

 

First to the Finish Invitational, IL

Highlights

  • Maura Beattie, Woodstock, won the AA girls race with a time of 16:52.50 over the 3-mile course.  Kaitlyn Ko, Buffalo Grove, won the AA girls with a time of 17:00.96.  
  • Calvin Kraft, Fishers, won the AAA boys race with a time of 14:36.22 over Billy Magnesen, Hinsdale Central, with a 14:36.86 clocking.

 

UF Mt. Dew Invitational, FL

Coverage

Highlights

  • Julie Wollrath won the girls Varsity race with a time of 18:17.
  • Tyler Bennett, Ft. Myers, won the boys Varsity race with a quick time of 15:24.

 

Hagerty Invitational, FL

Coverage

Highlights

  • Soph Brandon Marquez, Timber Creek, won the boys varsity race by 40 seconds with a quick time of 15:39.
  • Fatima Jaffer of Lake Mary picked up her second win of the season and led her team to victory.

 

Gulf Coast Cross Country Stampede, FL

Coverage

Highlights

  • Nicholas Morken, Niceville, triumphed over a solid field with his winning time of 15:39.90.  Zachary Albright, St. Paul's School, finished 2nd with a time of 15:51.90.

 

Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic, SC

Coverage

Highlights

  • Zach Langston, Lexington, won the boys International race over James Quattlebaum, Christ Church, by 11 seconds with Zach going 15:10 and James going 15:21.
  • Ashbrook Gwinn, Aiken, won the girls International race in 18:02.74.  

 

Furman Classic, SC

Highlights

  • The Providence, NC girls won the varsity race, going 2-4-5 with all under 18:35 and a low score of 47 points.  Emma Mashburn, Hardin Valley, won the overall race with a time of 17:41.78.
  • Wyatt Maxey, Providence, won the boys varsity race with a time of 15:12.  Tanis Baldwin, East Henderson, was 3rd in 15:19.
