Rodney King is a 2001 Graduate of Appalachian State University with a BS Degree in History Secondary Education. Upon Graduation Coach King began teaching US History and coaching Track and Field and Cross Country at North Stokes High School in Danbury, NC. Coach King ran track and cross country at North Stokes from 1993-1997. He and his wife are currently expecting their first child. Coach King has been name Northwest 1A Conference Girls Track Coach of the Year for the past four years in a row (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) and was named the Northwest 1A Girls Cross Country Coach of the year in 2005. For the past four years the North Stokes girls track team has consistanly finished in the top two of the Northwest 1A Conference, top three of the Midwest 1A Regional and in the top ten in the State 1A championship meets.
