River Run Cross Country Invitational
Fisher River Park in Dobson, NC will be hosting the 2nd Annual River Run Cross Country Invitational on Saturday September 20, 2008 and we would like to invite your team to participate. Fisher River Park played host to the 2006 Northwest 1A Conference Championships and Midwest 1A Regional Championships. The course is a 5K rolling hill, granite dust, gravel, and grass trails. It is similar in design to the state championship course at Tanglewood Park. The course is a 1.5 mile two loop course with starting and finishing areas. The course is also a wonderful spectator course.
Fisher River Park is located in Dobson, NC. The park is 10 miles from Mount Airy, NC just 3 miles off Highway 601. The park is just a 45 minute drive from Winston Salem and Statesville and it is easily accessible from I-77,
I-74, and Highway 52.
There will be team and individual awards with the top two male and female teams receiving team trophies and the top 10 individuals in each race receiving medals. The entry fee will be $30 per team (male and female teams separately) and $5 per individuals. There will be a boys race and a girls race. Unlimited entries more races will be added if necessary. Middle School race will be added if there is enough interest. Make checks payable to North Stokes Track & Field. If we have a lot of teams entered we will add more races and divisions.
