Meet Information
We will have FAT timing at this meet.
Hip numbers will only be needed for the events that do not stay in lanes. Athletes who need hip numbers will go to the in the middle of the infield to receive the hip numbers on 1st call. All athletes will report to the clerk at the start line of their event at 2nd call. All athletes must check in prior to the running of an event. They need to leave the finish line & infield area near the finish immediately after completing their running event.
Please make sure they know to keep away from the inside edge of the straightaway so the timing system can see the runners finishing their races.
Also there is only one gate from the stands to enter the track, please make sure the athletes watch out for runners and goes to left upon entering and stay clear of the finish line timing system.
John Potts will be the official starter.
Every school will be expected to help out at the meet with field events, umpire the curves and relay exchange zones.
WE WILL NOT HAVE POLE VAULT AT THIS MEET. Our standards are broken and we haven't received new ones yet. If a school wants to host the pole vault at their school on Tuesday. Email Coach Deeg at deborahj.deeg@cms.k12.nc.us by Monday so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Discus and shot will be on the lower practice field. Athletes and coaches should use the gate behind the 100m start line.
Coaches meeting and scratch meeting will be held at 3:30 at the finish line.
NO electronics are allowed on the infield or competition areas. Athletes will be disqualified from their event if they have them.
Coaches and athletes are expected to show good sportsmanship. Competitors who engage in taunting, profanity, baton throwing, or refusal to follow the instructions of a meet official will be disqualified.
