Broughton's boys win, Enloe 2nd. Providence girls defeat Durham School of Arts by 3. Andie Cozzarelli wins,  19:00. Will Taylor wins Varsity boys while Middle Creek takes team title. Danielle Hobbs wins Varsity girls and Providence Day girls take team win by 1 pt. over Sherando(VA). DURHAM ACADEMY QUICK STATS: Both boy's and girl's course records fall.   Finally, the cross country season is starting to heat up.  Over the past few weeks, a handful of big meets took place around the nation, but nothing of any true substance.  This weekend, there is no less than a half dozen meets that will showcase the top team and individual talent.  Let the races begin!

2006 state cross country Class AAAA state champion Mauldin Mavericks girls are ranked no. 5 in the Nike Team Nationals southeast region preseason poll, released last week. Senior Alyssa Kulik captured the individual state cross country title in 2006.

SCTCCCA release preseason poll Aug 13, 2007

The South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association announced at the summer meeting in July to continue to keep Class A/AA combined for this season. The boys Class A and AA are now separate races at the state championships on Nov. 3 - starting in 2006. SCISA members are also included in the polls for both teams and individuals, according to the association. Release dates: Aug. 14, 28; Sept. 11, 25; Oct. 9, 23; Nov. 6.
