Meet Information

The Milton Showcase, to be held on March 1st, will include top teams from the Georgia area. The intent of this letter is to announce the events, and provide you with all of the important information that your team will need as you prepare for upcoming meets. This letter also includes a schedule of events for the meet, as well as information for meet entry.

TEAM ENTRY FEES:
Boys: $100/Girls: $100/Both: $180. Checks should be made out to Milton T/F Booster Club. Entry fees are due by March 1, 2012. Please send payment by due date to:

ATHLETE ENTRY:
On-line entry will be utilized by accessing the entry system on www.gatfxc.com.

All entries must be submitted on-line no later than February 27, 2014 by 9:00 PM.

EVENT ENTRY:
Each team will be allowed two entries per open event. Each team will also be allowed two relay teams per relay event, except the 4x800 and 4x1600.

Athletes may compete in 5 events under the GHSA guidelines. The maximum number of relays an athlete can be entered in is 2. The maximum number of individual events is 3. All Coaches should follow GHSA rules and have their athletes entered in the appropriate number of open and relay events.

TIMING:
All running events will be FAT. The Perfect Timing Group will handle all timing.

ATHLETE WARM-UP:
The track will be open for warm-ups up until final call is made for the first running event of the day. A warm-up area will be roped off on the infield of the track for athletes to use once competition has started.

EVENT SCORING:
8 places will be scored in each event (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1). Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each open event, and the top 3 in each relay event.

Both throwing and jumping field events (long and triple) will consist of 4 attempts top 8 scoring no finals. The 5 alive system will be used in High Jump- Opening height- Girls: 44 and Boys 54. Pole Vault- Opening Height for - Girls: 7, Boys: 8.

All field event athletes will be given a warm-up period prior to the start of their event. No field event athlete is permitted to begin warm-ups without a meet official present.

FIELD EVENTS 4 attempts- LJ, TJ, Discus, Shot Put- No Finals for all field events.

*All events will be girls followed by boys unless otherwise noted.

MEET MANAGEMENT:
In an effort to provide the best experience for your team, Milton Track & Field has contracted USA T&F Officials to assist with the meet. Although volunteer assistance will be in place, majority of the events will be run by certified officials.

MEMORIBILIA AND CONCESSIONS:
Eagle Sportz will have a representative on-site to sell customized t-shirts for interested athletes and coaches.

There will also be a full concession stand opened.
