Fast and competitive races under good conditions led to the best set of times so far this year, and some great debut races.
Blacksburg boys win adidas Challenge with 15:38 to 16:08 top 5
Blacksburg's Bonnie Angermeier and Nick Link ran the state's fastest 5K times so far this season at the weekend at the adidas XC Challenge in Cary, North Carolina with the sophomore Angermeier leading the Blacksburg girls to a runner-up team finish with her 18:27 sixth place individual effort, while Link was the top finisher for the team champions from Blacksburg with a seventh place run of 15:38.
SCA's Morris 10th at adidas Challenge in season best 18:47
Spartanburg Christian's Logan Morris traveled to Cary, N.C. for the adidas Challenge where she finished 10th in a season best time of 18 minutes, 47 seconds. Her time moves her to fourth in the state rankings. Morris' sister Taylor also ran in the meet.
