Does anyone know if they are going to pull kids off the track if they get lapped again this year. I really hope that they do not, especially in fast heats.I had a girls team that got pulled going into last leg of 4x800 last year, even though my team was on State qualifying pace. Depending on how they set up heats, it could happen again easily, just one example, look at men's 3200 meter, with Abushouk and Baldwin and their 9:20 and 9:25,seeded times, they could lap a lot of sub 10:20 guys, which is State Qualifying pace. With the expense of traveling, entries fees, and distance traveled to meet, hopefully, this will considered this year.
Hopefully, they do not. My main complaint was last year, we were put in the fast heat, where the top seed was listed at 9:40, we were seeded at 11:04, so we were set up to fail, how did they not expect us not to get lapped on a 200 meter track. We should of been in the second heat, where we belonged and would of ended on 1st or 2nd in that heat, instead of getting pulled, going into last leg. If they want to pull lapped people, they need to put better thought on heat assignments.
