 NCRunners.com has chosen 3 athletes in each event as members of the first ever All-NCRunners.com Indoor Team. Each athlete will be receiving a certificate in the next couple weeks. Congratulations to each of these boys for their accomplishments this season.

   Scott Dvorak, the owner of Charlotte Running Company, announced about a month ago that Bob Kennedy, the American 5000m record holder, would be visiting Charlotte. This announcement excited the Charlotte running community, as seen by the almost 200 individuals that showed up to see Bob.

  Adam was on a normal training run at St. Andrews College when he was struck by a car that had swerved 8 feet off the road. He is just now getting back to school, but still is unable to do one of things he loves . . . run.

Stuart Smith of Clayton HS competed at the 4A State Indoor Championships on Saturday, but his father wasn't there to see him run. Stuart's dad was recently in a terrible accident and as of February 13th, wasn't breathing on his own yet.Please read more. 

This is the latest version of the US Top 5 List . . . you will find many North Carolina athletes ranked among the nation's best, so check it out.

Burllington Cummings and Ragsdale swapped the top spot throughout the morning, but in the end the girls from Cummings prevailed. They were led by the meet MVP, Latoya James. Parkland's boys closed the deal on their state title with their victory in the boy's 4x400. Asheville and Parkland were separated by only 1 pt. with the 4x400 still yet to run. But, on the other side of the track from the starting line was the high-flying boy's pole vault which was not completed.

SE Raleigh looked very good all around on the boy's and girl's side Saturday. Both teams were able to hold up State Championship plaques for many photo opportunities.

Most of the selections NCRunners.com viewers made were very obvious. However, you predicted the boy's competitions to be the closest. The girl's titles, in NCRunners.com viewers' opinions, look to be a easy guesses on both sides. Let's see how good you are?

As I was looking over the All-Time North Carolina List, I noticed a lot of new marks. This indoor season has been a great one for North Carolina, as many athletes have moved onto the All-Time List.

  Antonio Sales and Trenton Guy Jr. both represented NC in NYC, running the 300m. LaMarr Davis also ran, as he competed in the loaded 1000m race.

This one should be fun with possibly 5 teams capable of winning it on any given day. Phillip Bush of North Rowan will look to lead his team to a victory.
